A GREAT DAY STAMPING

Well this is the time of year we usually attend an annual Stamp Camp at Port Sorell in Tassie. But due to some changes this year it ended up being at Moriarty Hall for just the day. But it was still a good day.. It went from 9am till around 7.30pm. So everyone (I hope anyway) still had a great time.

(Me trying to look that I know what I am talking about... (GRIN)
This is the first major event that I have actually done.... Yes I was asked to actually be the demonstrator for this camp, which was a great honor. But I was quite nervous as well, due to the fact that I wasn't as organised as I would have liked to have been. (Due to what has been happening with Shell), But sometimes you cannot control everything & these things are sent to test us.. Well test me it did!!! But I think everyting went quite well. And the one sheet wonders were a hit. Everyone there got them made which is a first for some people that go to this camp every year, I won't mention names...... but usually they get 1 or 2 cards made if they are lucky..... (definately not 10 or more)!! Big wave to those who know exactly who I am talking about..... *VBGRIN* So that was an added bonus.

The only downside was Shell in a wheelchair & Melissa on crutches (yes they looked like twins especially when Michelle was on her crutches, which wasn't for very long at all), you would never have imagined that two great firends would be incapacitated in a similar way at the same time. But they still manages to have a good time. But Melissa was a bit iffy about Michelle's driving skills as everytime she went passed Melissa she would hit her in some way or form.... So if it was me I would be like don't come near me cause you keep hitting me!!! hehehehehe can you picture it!! *GRIN* But as they only could they joked about it all day..

Then Michelle discovered that the hall was on a bit of a slant, mainly one end... each time she went up to the back of the hall her wheelchair would take off & end up rolling into the wall.. This was quite amusing.... so of course she had to show everyone that the floor was uneven.... Yes you would never have guessed that she was actually there to be my helper.. *VBGRIN* She had not thought about putting the brake of the wheelchair on until I suggested it... Well that was an even bigger crack up!!!! hahahahaha.

But seriously I think it went really well & everyone seemed to have a good time. Which in the end is the thing that counts the most. I had fun sharing with everyone what I love to do so what else can I ask for..

I have added a few photos of the people that were there but you always get the ones who manage to sneak off as soon as they see a camera!! mmm Michelle is usually one of them *GRIN* Hope everyone went enjoyed the One Sheet Wonders that I taught them to do. I know I enjoyed creating them..

FINALLY HOME FROM HOSPITAL

Hi everyone

You probably thought we just dissapeared into thin air.... But Michelle was taken to hospital the day after our last post & has just returned home. It was quite a scary time!! All that happened was she woke up with a small ache in her leg then a couple of day later she couldn't even walk!! Very unusual.... So of course we went to the Doctors & he sent her off for some tests, then that afternoon she was told to go straight back to the Doctor & he sent her straight to hospital. Then more tests, then of course she was admitted to hospital in Launceston. Everything seemed to go in slow motion for her but very quick for me. Next minute after more tests she was whisked away by the Royal Flying Doctors to Melbourne (St Vincents Public hospital). We arrived there at midnight. So it was all rather quick & I know scary for her, considering her health with all her previous blood clots etc... But this time they just could not figure out what was wrong with her leg.. I think the unknown is the worst.. So she was admitted to St Vincents at midnight & was still not allowed to get out of bed!! (she was NOT HAPPY about that one)!! But they did not want her moving or putting any weight on her leg at all, until they could actually work out what was going on.

So we were over in Melbourne for over a week, not really knowing what was happening with her leg. They ended up doing a Biopsy & that was not a nice experience for her either. Pardon the expression but it hurt like hell.... They said they were going to sedate her well they obviously didn't give her enough.. I heard her scream from out side the theatre room. But at least it got done. They took 5 samples altogether a couple of the tissue, muscle & bone (which was the worst). But at least this did show something positive. There was no cancer there. So that was a huge relief lifted.

The only conclusion they have come to so far is that maybe the muscle & tissue have tore away from the bone. Don't know how or why yadda yadda, but at least it is something to go off I suppose. So she was then allowed to get out of bed in a wheelchair or with crutches. Yes quite a funny sight you ask her!!! Definately no co-ordination... but at least she could get around. That was so much better.

So that meant we were allowed to come home to Launceston!! YAY We caught the spirit of Tasmania back as soon as we could... (they told us we could leave at about 11.30am we were on the boat that night & home the next day) Yeap that quick!! What a relief to be back home again.

So now all we have to do is wait for results on some of the tests etc & see what is going to happen from here. Its good that Shell can stay at home instead of being in hospital waiting as it is much more comfortable when your at home. They said inlongs she does all the right things then that would be okay... YAYYY!!

So that is the sagga for now.

Once again sorry for all the gaps in posts but I am sure you will all understand now.

We will let you know the prognosis once we know... Until then Happy Stamping & Scrapping & we will endevour to put some cards on the Blog plus that tutorial that we were going to do before all of this happened..
